St Giles’ is a small school of just over 100 pupils, sitting on the edge of Potters Bar in the small village of South Mymms. We have been in the village for over 180 years and were one of the first schools in the Potters Bar area. Our children are educated in mixed year groups, from Reception to Year 6. Our recent inspection from Ofsted said that we are a good school, but we want to make the school even better. Our excellent staff are in the process of making that happen. We are a school that respects tradition but also strives for innovation – what other schools are building soap box carts with their pupils one minute and dancing around the maypole the next?
