Quotes from the recent S48 Inspection:
St Kentigern's is a very welcoming and inclusive school with strong Christian values. Pupils are taught to care for others and to follow the school’s motto to ‘treat others as you would like to be treated’.
In lessons, teachers plan engaging and interesting experiences to support pupils’ learning. Through the rich curriculum that is planned, pupils develop their confidence and their skills across different subject areas.
Pupils behave well and contribute to society through work with charities and taking part in community and parish events.

St Kentigern’s is a one-form entry school close to the centre of Blackpool. We have inclusive practice and staff work hard to ensure that all pupils achieve their very best. We are a happy and hard-working school with families drawn from many ethnic backgrounds and many of our children enter the school with English as their second language. We pride ourselves on the progress made by all children after they enter our school.
In September 2022 we became an Academy and joined the Blessed Edward Bamber Multi Academy Trust. Our new Headteacher will join us close to the beginning of this exciting journey. We are already seeing the benefits to staff and pupils of being part of the MAT and look forward to even more advances as the MAT grows in the future.
We have extremely close ties with our parish. Catechists and parishioners work with the children in many ways encouraging the links to St Kentigern’s parish. The Local Governing Body is made up mainly of parishioners and parents with a wide range of skills, continuing the strong ties to the parish and local community.
