St Martin's Primary School are seeking an inspirational Primary School Teacher to join our dedicated school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about delivering high‑quality teaching and helping every child achieve their full potential.
About the Role
We are looking to appoint a new teacher into our KS1 team from September. We want to appoint a passionate, reflective and inspiring teacher who has a good understanding of building upon the strong foundations from EYFS and using these to support children's learning through KS1. As a Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers’ Standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target‑setting Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school Contributing to performance management, training, and whole‑school initiatives Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethosWhat We’re Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children’s learning.
Essential attributes include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT working towards their QTS Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS or KS1 Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high‑quality teaching and learning Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider communityDesirable attributes include:
Experience leading a curriculum area Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages Ability to organise extra‑curricular activitiesWhy Join Us?
