MPS or UPS welcomed. 0.6 or 0.8 FTE
Fixed term contract to cover maternity leave from the beginning of term in January 2026 - 31st August 2026, with possible further contracts depending on future requirements
Required from January 2026, however, possible immediate start available to cover another short-term class teacher vacancy, for the right candidate
We are seeking a kind, friendly and dynamic teacher to join our large and established team at our popular and thriving school. This role is crucial in supporting our aspirational and ‘Good’ school to continue to improve, as we look to always provide the very best for our diverse children and families. Building great relationships, a belief in every child’s potential and a strong commitment to providing great teaching and learning opportunities within the classroom is a must. This post will be based throughout the school and will be providing crucial PPA cover and absence cover for teachers. Our school invests in high-quality PPA teachers, and this is a valued and important role at New Town. You will need to be flexible and able to build fantastic relationships with a wide group of children across the school and be able to provide high quality teaching and learning. The right candidate will be committed and dedicated, attend teacher meetings and lead a subject. They will play an important role within the teaching team, share in the development of teaching and learning at New Town and contribute to the wider life of the school. Please note that this is not a suitable post for those wishing to have a less involved role in the school
