We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and creative Teacher to join our existing team of dedicated colleagues. Our school is highly inclusive and we are proud to have high expectations of all our young people which inspire and motivate them to be aspirational and succeed in all they do.
Westcroft School is rated “good” by Ofsted and is situated in Wolverhampton. We are a special school for pupils with complex cognitive difficulties whose age range is 5 to 19 years, who are seeking to appoint a motivated, dedicated and driven Teacher
We are an Academy School, part of the Central Learning Partnership Trust (CLPT). We strive to ensure our children receive an education which inspires and promotes positive learning and ensure that rigorous CPD supports all staff in becoming the best they can be.
Core Responsibilities
Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area.
Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Class Teacher.
Facilitate and encourage a learning experience, which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
- Contribute positively and effectively to the SEND agenda
- Use internally set progress targets, ILP and EHCP’s to evaluate pupils' progress and set appropriate targets for improvement
- Lead the review of EHCP’s.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant professional qualifications - QTS
Strong knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and best practices
Has experience of working in a diverse school environment
Has worked with SEND pupils; particularly those with complex learning needs
Could work with any age group within the school
Has the ability to deliver outstanding lessons
Be innovative and able to adapt at short notice
Is able to work as part of a team
Training & Development:
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Participation in relevant training to maintain up-to-date knowledge
Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively
Key Skills & Attributes:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail
