Teacher with Leadership Responsibilities job summary

Inspire the little learners of Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred.

We are looking for an experienced, qualified Teacher looking to take on middle leadership responsibilities to join our hard working and friendly team.

Your Opportunity

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will:
  • Support and implement the vision and ethos of the academy.
  • Contribute to, implement and evaluate the success of the academy improvement plan relevant to your leadership area(s).
  • Together with SLT, lead on the school self-evaluation progress for your leadership area(s) including lesson observations, monitoring of standards and driving improvement.
  • Advise and co-operate with colleagues on the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching and assessment, and pastoral arrangements.
  • Promote cross-curriculum approaches to teaching and learning.
  • As an excellent practitioner, be an effective role model for your team and the wider academy in terms of teaching, behavior and classroom management.
  • Lead an Academy priority across the whole academy.
  • Have overall responsibility and accountability for mentoring ITE students and NQTs.

About Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred is a three form entry Academy located in the heart of Chafford Hundred, which is a modern development bordering Lakeside, Thurrock and serving a vibrant and diverse community. Chafford Hundred has good links to central London as well as being accessible from Kent and Essex. Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred is a good school with high educational standards.
