What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher who is a specialist in Maths, who is able to support students with a broad range of special educational needs including autism, SLD, PMLD. The successful candidate will have pastoral responsibilities for a class group and will teach other pupils across the school. They will also have a Teaching & Learning Responsibility across the school for Maths.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A dedicated and skilled professional with a clear pupil-centred focus
  • Aspirational and highly committed to improving the learning attainments and lives of pupils with special educational needs including autism, SLD, PMLD
  • Experienced in working with pupils with special educational needs including autism, SLD, PMLD and autism, some of whom may display challenging behaviour
  • Experienced in leading, planning and delivering Maths as a core subject to pupils with special educational needs including autism, SLD, PMLD
  • Able to provide pastoral support for a designated group of students
  • A robust and resilient practitioner able to perform in a dynamic and challenging environment
