Job Description
Post Title: Teacher (Main Pay Scale)
Responsible to: Headteacher and SENDCo
Location: Wood End Infant & Preschool
Start Date: Monday 23rd February 2026
Purpose of the Role:
To provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences for pupils within the new SEND special unit, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of SEND pupils.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using data to inform planning and interventions.
- Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and external professionals to support pupils’ holistic development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the SEND provision and wider school curriculum.
- Promote positive behaviour and a supportive classroom ethos consistent with the school’s values.
- Participate in relevant professional development and staff meetings.
- Support the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies to ensure pupil safety.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports as required.
