Purpose of the Role:
To provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences for pupils within the new SEND special unit, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of SEND pupils.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using data to inform planning and interventions.
  • Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and external professionals to support pupils’ holistic development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the SEND provision and wider school curriculum.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a supportive classroom ethos consistent with the school’s values.
  • Participate in relevant professional development and staff meetings.
  • Support the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies to ensure pupil safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports as required.
