Building Strong Foundations for the Future
Earley St Peter’s Church of England Primary School are looking for a fun, energetic and committed team member to join their staffing team. You will be involved in supporting the learning and development of our children primarily in Year 3.
Main purpose:
To work in Year 3 support pupils in line with the National Curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures. You will be required to work as a classroom Teaching Assistant and a 1:1 Support, depending on where the needs of the school are.
Duties include:
- Establishing positive relationships with pupils
- Supporting pupils with activities including support literacy and numeracy skills
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on track
- Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils’ work
- Assisting with taking pupils on educational visits
- Supervising pupils during lunchtime
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs
General requirements:
- Experience with, or a love of, working with young people
- An awareness of commitment to equality
- Basic understanding of health and safety
- Understanding and implementing child protection procedures
- Flexibility to work with individual pupils as directed by the class teacher
- Able to build a positive rapport and exercise patience and consistency
- Kind, caring and compassionate
