As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
From assisting with lessons and preparing resources to encouraging pupils and providing pastoral support, no two days will be the same.
You’ll be part of a dedicated team who put children at the heart of everything they do, making a real difference to their learning, confidence, and wellbeing every single day.
What will you do?
- Work with individuals and groups of children to deliver learning programmes and encourage interaction in activities led by the teacher.
- Assist with general pastoral care and attend to personal needs as appropriate.
- Supervise children during non-lesson times, accompany on trips, participate in meetings and training
- Feedback on child progress in meeting Individual Education Plan targets
What are we looking for?
- Experience of working with relevant age group within a learning environment
- A good understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Ability to communicate well, with adults and children across the Trust
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people

This school will be the latest in the development of the Avanti Schools Trust who already have several highly successful schools in operation and I am very proud and honoured to have been appointed as the Executive Principal Designate for this new member to our family of schools.
Avanti Meadows Primary School will provide parents and pupils with the highest standards of education and pastoral care. This is a very exciting time for all of us as we see the new school develop towards the opening date of September 2021
