What You’ll Do
In this rewarding role, you’ll:
- Support students—including those with a range of special educational needs—to succeed in class and beyond
- Work closely with the SENDCo, teachers, and pastoral team to provide tailored support
- Help students access the curriculum while building their confidence and independence
- Offer in-class support, small-group interventions, and one-to-one guidance
- Build trusting relationships that help students feel understood, valued, and safe
- Use patience, empathy, and creativity to support emotional regulation and communication
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to have all the answers—but you do need the right mindset. We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young people (in education, SEN, pastoral, or a similar setting)
- Understands that behaviour is communication and responds with empathy
- Remains calm under pressure and listens without judgment
- Can adapt flexibly to the needs of individuals and groups
- Is committed to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of young people (full training provided)
