What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Ideally have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant SEN Level 1 or equivalent.
  • Have experience and/or a good understanding of supporting children with complex needs.
  • Be able to communicate confidently with young children using a variety of means, including verbal and non verbal communication.
  • Have a firm yet nurturing approach to supporting children and be able to use a range of strategies to promote good behaviour, listening and attention.
  • Play a crucial role in supporting the development of social and interaction skills.
  • Be someone who has excellent interpersonal skills with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, enthusiasm and the ability to use own initiative when supporting children.
  • Be able to work flexibly as part of a close knit team.
