Teaching Assistant 1:1 job summary

One to One Teaching Assistant temporary until 31 August 2020 Grade C £9,986 - £10,186 per annum, pro-rated 25 hours per week, term-time only Closing date: Friday 13 December 2019 2pm Interviews week commencing: 16 December 2019 West Row are looking for an experienced, creative Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil who has some special emotional needs. You will be kind, understanding, have a sense of humour and able to manage challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and respectful manner. You will be joining a dedicated team of life-long learners who believe that all children should have the opportunity to surprise us! Visits to the Academy are strongly encouraged. Tel: 01638 715680 We are looking for someone who can: Be an enthusiastic individual with a proven flexible approach to working. Be able to empathise with students who have difficulty communicating their social and emotional needs. Have some knowledge and understanding of ADHD and dyslexia. Have a proven ability to work collaboratively; respecting, support and sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues. Have experience of working in a classroom environment and of supporting pupils with behavioural needs/social and emotional needs.
