About The Role

As a Teaching Assistant you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the classroom ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and excellent classroom practice.

Key responsibilities:

To work under the guidance of the class teacher in the planning and implementation of work programmes with individuals or groups of pupils or the whole class to promote effective teaching and learning

Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.

To provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the pupil and the classroom.

To Support pupils with Special Educational Needs

To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team

Can form positive and caring relationships with children which motivates them to learn, grow and be confident

Possesses knowledge of phonics, reading, writing and numeracy
