Teaching Assistant 2B job summary

We are seeking a hardworking, dedicated individual to join our specialist SEN provision, known as Acorns Class. This mixed-age class, spanning Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2, follows a carefully structured daily timetable tailored to meet the individual needs outlined in pupils’ EHCPs. The timetable includes sensory circuits, speech and language interventions, and occupational therapy programmes. Pupils in Acorns Class have high levels of need, so we are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing, and passionate about SEND. You will work under the direction of the class teacher to deliver 1:1 and small group lessons based on the National Curriculum. Additionally, you will support the class teacher in assessing and reporting on pupils' progress and attainment outcomes. The successful candidate will be part of a small, supportive team and must demonstrate strong behaviour management, good initiative, and a commitment to helping every child thrive.

In addition to this role, there is also an opportunity to work in our After School Club, details of which can be discussed at interview.

We would warmly welcome and encourage candidates to come and visit our warm, friendly, and nurturing school. Please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
