We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and organised teaching assistant, with the skills and ability to support our students with a variety of Special Educational Needs and establish positive relationships to promote excellent learning. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a hard-working team, committed to ensuring our young people are safe, healthy and supported to achieve. The role is 19.5 hours per week over 3 days. The working days are negotiable.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will:

  • Develop positive relationships with students to assist their progress and attainment.
  • Plan and implement structured learning activities, working 1 to 1 and with small groups
  • Monitor and review student achievements relating to their individual targets, including the creation of Individual Education Plans (IEPS)
  • Model commitment, resilience, patience, hard work and a good sense of humour
  • May assist in the specific medical / care needs of pupils, including intimate personal care such as toileting / changing
