We are seeking x2 dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our hardworking team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and making a real impact in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups to help them access learning and achieve their goals.
  • Assist the class teacher with preparing resources, delivering learning activities, and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, helping to remove barriers to learning and promoting independence.
  • Contribute to the assessment of pupils’ progress by observing, recording, and feeding back to teaching staff.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupils' well-being and development.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about working with children and committed to supporting their progress.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is adaptable, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
  • Holds relevant experience of working in a school setting (desirable but not essential if skills and enthusiasm are evident).
  • Shares Byron Wood’s values and drive to ensure every child thrives.
