Teaching Assistant job summary
Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? Roman Way Academy is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work 1:1 or in small groups with children with high needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in our welcoming school. You will work 30 hours 15 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. with a 30-minutes unpaid lunch break. If part-time 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to 12:p.m. to 3:20 p.m, 38 working weeks per annum, term-time only.
We reservice the right to interview and appointment prior to close date.
We are seeking to appoint
- A caring and adaptable individual who is committed to supporting pupils with SEND
- Someone who can provide tailored support and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Someone who is forward thinking, dynamic, hardworking and enjoys working with children.
The candidate must demonstrate full commitment to the academy and its aim to raise standards.

- Willing to work under the direction of the senior leaders including the SENDCo and class teacher
