Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant at Hexthorpe Primary Academy!
Are you passionate about supporting children's education and helping them reach their full potential? Hexthorpe Primary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage student engagement and participation in school activities, including off-site visits.
- Understand and support the needs of children to help them reach their full potential.
- Assist with supervision during break and lunch times.
- Inspire students to become independent and express themselves appropriately.
- Support teaching staff with child learning and behaviour.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student observations.
- Support whole class teaching, lead small group interventions, and work with individual students.
- Ensure high standards of behaviour and academic work.
- Lead wrap-around activities such as parents' evening, breakfast club, and after-school clubs as required.
Person Specification:
- Essential: Willingness to work towards Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the curriculum, experience working with children in primary education, and experience with children with additional needs.
