Teaching Assistant job summary

Standlake CE Primary School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to start as soon as possible. We need someone for 19.5 hours per week (3 days)to work across the school, supporting the class teachers in class and leading interventions 1:1 and with small groups.

We are looking for someone with a passion for working with children to join our dedicated team of staff. We are a small rural village primary school with 107 pupils on roll from 2-11 years old who are well behaved and engaged in their learning.

We need someone who is:

  • Hardworking and willing to be flexible

  • energetic and enthusiastic

  • has a sense of humour

  • has good literacy and numeracy skills

  • can use their initiative

  • is hardworking

  • can develop effective relationships with children and colleagues

  • loves learning and is willing to develop their practice through professional development regularly

  • effective basic use of ICT

Prior experience of working in a school setting would be an advantage but not essential.
