Teaching Assistant job summary

Exeter House School is an all through Education Provision (EP) for children and young people (CYP) with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs. We are a supportive and nurturing community for CYP, aged 2 -19. Rated Good by Ofsted (Jun 23)

We are in search of part time Teaching Assistants who:

Hours: We are flexible in considering what quality talent can deliver on. Please specify days and times you would be able to work in your application form, so that Senior Leadership can best consider how you may support our Children and Young People (CYP) - but please let us know in your application what hours/days you can commit to.

  • Between 8.30 am to 3.00 pm (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri)
  • Between 8.30 am to 4.00 pm (Wed – training 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm)
  • Includes 30min unpaid lunch break depending on contracted hours agreed
  • Includes 13 induction training sessions on Tuesdays 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm arranged by agreement

Experience: You can join us as an entry level Teaching Assistant (known as a Support Assistant) or an experienced Teaching Assistant/meeting the minimum criteria. Please see the attached Job Descriptions for full details of the responsibilities and expectations of the role.

Training: It is important to us to ensure you feel valued and supported. Full training appropriate to the role will be provided.
