Salary: For those with a level 3 qualification: NJC 3- 6 £24,796 - £25,583 FTE (£18,651 actual starting salary based on part time hours and term time only). For those without a level 3 qualification: The Voluntary Living Wage of £12.60 per hour which equates to £18,284 annually until qualified. We also offer a well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits. We're looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to join our supportive team at Lift Ryde, on the Isle of Wight, for a September 2025 start date. Due to our continued growth and popularity, we are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our SEN Department and play a vital role in supporting the young people in our school, making a positive impact on their lives. We value the skills and dedication of our teaching assistants. To support the best outcomes for our students, we require a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). If you don't yet hold this qualification, don't worry! We'll invest in your development by enrolling you in our Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme, helping you gain the behaviours, skills and experience you need to thrive in the role. Working with young people from Year 7 to 11, you will build positive relationships with students, providing support where they need it. The role is varied and will require you to: * Provide efficient and high quality support to all students. * Promote the inclusion of all students. * Work in liaison with the class teacher to support students and target identified learning needs. * Provide practical support in the classroom to students who have recognised learning needs, supporting them to achieve their potential. * Work with subject teachers to ensure lesson materials are used effectively in order for students to make the expected progress towards their target levels. The successful applicant will have good literacy and numeracy skills and will have the ability to relate well to both children and adults. About Lift Ryde Lift Ryde, based on the Isle of Wight, is an 11 to 18 years secondary school and is sponsored by Lift Schools. The school is set in spacious grounds and had a completely new state of the art building in 2017. All staff have access to a free on site gym with a range of fantastic equipment.
