Teaching Assistant

Contract: Fixed term for 1 year, part time, Term-time only.

Hours/working pattern: 34 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:45am – 4pm.

Salary Grade: CD1 SCP 3-4 £22,737 - £23,114 pro rata per annum (Actual salary £18,112 - £18,412 pro rata per annum).

Start Date: September 2024

Our Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our department, as a Teaching Assistant to support our staff and students at the college.

In your new role you will support students both individually and in small groups under the direction and support of our SENDCo and SLT. There will be the requirement at times to work one on one with pupils leading intervention sessions that you would plan and deliver and to supervise examinations in exam season.

Role & Responsibility:

  • To work and support students and staff in the classroom or appropriate location within the school, with access to support and guidance as required.
  • Ensure all learners to whom you are allocated reach their potential.
  • Support the social and emotional needs of children and young people.
  • Ensure a good relationship with parents and colleagues to create a protective environment so that children feel safe.
