Position: Fixed term
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant with a strong interest in supporting children within the Foundation Stage, including pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The successful applicant will work closely with teachers to help create a safe, engaging, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports children’s early development and learning.
The role includes assisting with classroom activities, supporting individual and group learning, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The successful candidate will also support children with additional needs by adapting activities where appropriate and promoting inclusion and independence.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient and nurturing approach, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience working with young children and knowledge of EYFS and SEND practices would be desirable.
