Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a Teaching Assistant at WILLOWDOWN Primary School you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

As Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

Working under the direction of the Head Teacher but also use your own initiative to make things happen, be creative and problem solve.

Develop rigorous methods of promoting/reinforcing pupil’s self-esteem and independence resilience, confidence and social skills through outdoor learning and track impact over time.

Have good literacy and numeracy skills.

Willing to work on a one to one basis with individual children and integrate them into the school setting; this includes helping them manage the strategies that are in place to access learning.

Willing to work within class and our nurture provision.

Post Holder will be expected to support behaviour across the school through a positive, inclusive ethos.

Qualifications: Grade C/4 in English and Maths at GCSE.

Experience: Previous teaching assistant experience.

Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, ability to engage students.
