Icknield Community College

Icknield Community College, an 11-16 comprehensive school in the Oxfordshire town of Watlington, is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable teaching assistant to support learners in the school.

The successful candidate will work 27.50 hours per week, 8.30am to 3pm, term time only (this incorporates an unpaid break of an hour per day, consisting of 20 minutes for morning break and 40 minutes for lunch). Our new TA will be a committed team player, who, guided by the SENCO, will assist the teaching staff in advancing students’ learning in order to raise their aspirations and support them in achieving their potential.

The post is term time only and is paid at £24,404 - £24,709 pro rata (the actual salary would be £15,173.23 – £15,413.22. Variables Hours Policy:

This position is subject to a variable hours clause where the contracted hours can be reduced by a third. This enables schools to manage the fluctuations in pupils’ needs.
