Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to recruit permanent Teaching Assistants (TA) to work within our core TA team. You will need to be able to work as part of a small team and be expected to contribute to its development, have a positive attitude towards personal development and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

You will join us at an exciting time on our development journey. You will have a unique opportunity to support young people to thrive at school and to work towards the qualifications they need to excel.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with young people, have a flexible and positive approach, thrive working as part of a team, and be keen to ensure we deliver an inclusive education to our students. This role is suited to someone with previous experience working with young people to improve their academic outcomes but may be equally suited to a graduate wanting to gain experience before training for a career in teaching.

The successful candidate will:

Good GCSE grades or equivalent in English and Maths

Have excellent classroom practice and the knowledge and understanding to support student progress

Be able to challenge and support children of all abilities across the curriculum

Have high expectations of themselves, colleagues and students
