At Chesterton Primary School, we are looking for a Teaching Assistant to play a valued role in supporting teaching and learning across the classroom. Working closely with teachers, this role focuses on supporting individuals and small groups, adapting activities to meet diverse needs and helping every pupil to participate, progress and feel included. Alongside contributing to planning and providing feedback on progress, the postholder will support pupils’ social and emotional development, creating a positive and nurturing environment. We are seeking someone who is practical, attentive and committed to high expectations, with a genuine belief that every child can achieve.
Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Chesterton Primary School
Contract: Permanent, 15hours per week, 38weeks per year
Salary: ALT Grade D point 8-11 £8,605.63-£8,810.04 - Actual
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups, adapting activities to meet pupils’ needs
- Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning activities, providing feedback on pupil progress and behaviour
- Promote inclusion, supporting pupils with additional needs and encouraging independent learning
