Kingfisher Primary Academy is a thriving two-form entry school with a 52-place nursery, located in the heart of Doncaster. The RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our committed team. You will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting pupils’ learning in class, small groups, and one-to-one sessions.
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
- Promoting positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing environment that supports wellbeing and learning.
- Working collaboratively with staff to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.
- A passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.

Kingfisher is a fantastic academy that places great importance on the success of its pupils. Children are assessed regularly and effective support ensures children make progress. An innovative curriculum has been designed to ensure that children take part in exciting lessons and that they play an active part in their own learning. A number of extra curricular clubs ensure that children have access to a range of enriching activities.
As an academy we love working with parents and have an increasing army of volunteer helpers who support us during the school day. We value the opinions of children in school and they have their own council. The council has regular meetings and discuss a wide range of issues.
Kingfisher is a two form entry academy (420 places) with a 52 place nursery.
