About the role
Camblesforth Community Primary Academy are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work within our dedicated team, the position is to work within their EYFS unit and is to support SEN children. The working hours for this position are 35 hours per week which will be worked during the school term time. This is a fixed term position until July 2026, in the first instance.
As a Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in the child’s day, you will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true potential of all our children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step by step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines. You will use behaviour management in all areas around school.
The job requirements
We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children, in a supportive capacity and has good verbal communication, strong time management, organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team as these are all essential to this role.
You will have the ability to build a good rapport with parents and carers and the wider school community.
Ideally you will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge and understanding with regards to child development and the curriculum and how to enhance a child’s experiences and build upon their learning.
