Teaching Assistant job summary

Intake Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our committed and supportive team on a fixed term basis. We are looking for a talented, knowledgeable professional with high aspirations for all of our children. 

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have recent, relevant and successful experience in a primary school setting 

  • Build and maintain successful working relationships with pupils 

  • Support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs 

  • Want to make a real difference

  • Promote good behaviour and deal promptly with conflicts and incidents

  • Utilise strategies to support pupils in achieving learning goals.

At Intake we work with children aged 3 – 11 years old, from Nursery through to Foundation Stages and Key Stages 1 and 2.

We have 14 teaching staff, 14 teaching support staff, an Inclusion Team and 3 office staff.
