What skills and experience we're looking for
- Good Maths and English skills
- NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience
- Worked with children
- Worked in a similar role at a school/setting
- Computer literacy across Microsoft products
- Basic understanding of child development and learning
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
- Flexibility in your working approach
- Enthusiasm and commitment
- The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of all children
- An awareness of responsibilities for health and safety of yourself and others
- Successful and satisfactory background check received from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) after interview and before appointment
- A commitment to safeguarding children

Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st August 2025, with potential for extension into 2025/2026 academic year
Working Hours: 8.45am – 3.15pm daily (includes lunchtime Teaching Assistant role)
Start Date: Monday 4th November 2024 (or earliest possible date from the start of Term 2)
Salary Range: Grade 4 - 5 (£18,933 - £19,312 pro rata)
Age Range: Year 1
Closing date: Wednesday 9th October 2024
Interview: Week Beginning Monday 14th October 2024
