Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 33 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Monday to Friday)

Pilton Community College are seeking a dedicated and proactive Specialist Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students by providing targeted support and helping them achieve their full potential.
About the Role
Working under the guidance of senior staff, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional or learning support. You will run our pupil support centre, providing stability for pupils who need support during their school day.
You will;
Provide pastoral and behaviour support to pupils Deliver and plan targeted 1:1 and small group interventions Help students develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social skills Assist with assessment, referrals, and exam access arrangements Work closely with teachers, SEND team, parents and external agencies Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to plans and reviews Support whole-school screening initiatives and intervention programmesWhat We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people, particularly those who may be disengaged or facing barriers to learning Can build positive, professional relationships with pupils, staff and families Is confident in delivering structured interventions and behaviour strategies Demonstrates strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills Has a good understanding of child development, behaviour support and safeguarding Has good literacy, numeracy and ICT skillsWhat We Offer
