Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As a Teaching Assistant at Two Rivers Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.” We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising and supporting pupils to ensure their safety and access to learning.
- Establishing constructive relationships with pupils and acting as a role model.
- Supporting pupils with individual needs and promoting independence and inclusion.
- Assisting teachers in the implementation of lesson plans, learning strategies, and class activities.
- Monitoring and recording pupils’ progress and providing feedback to pupils and teachers.
- Supporting the use of ICT in learning activities and enhancing pupil engagement.
- Helping with classroom organisation, preparation of resources and creating displays.
- Supervising pupils during out-of-class times, including breaks and school trips.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
- We are looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant who:
- Has a good standard of education (5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above).
- Holds or is working towards a relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants – desirable).
- Has recent, relevant experience supporting pupils in the classroom, particularly those with additional needs.
- Understands child development and barriers to learning.
- Is a strong communicator, both with pupils and adults.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to support pupils’ progress with minimal supervision.
- Has excellent ICT skills and uses them effectively to support learning.
- Works collaboratively as part of a team and values professional growth.
- Demonstrates a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.
- Aligns with our trust-wide values by bringing a positive, collaborative approach to their work and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.

Two Rivers CofE Primary school is an outstanding school in a new, state-of-the-art building located in the heart of the new Hygge Park development in Keynsham.
