We're looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to join our supportive team at North Ormesby, in Middlesbrough, on a fixed term basis. You're someone who'll be able to: * Improve the learning and attainment of students while also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. * Support students so that they can; access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement. You're someone who has: * Motivation and enthusiasm * Understanding of pupil's learning needs, including specific SEND needs, in order to support their access to lesson content. * The skills to help students to develop independent learning skills. * Ability to deliver individual and small group targeted interventions. Having a thematic approach helps teach all subject areas in a more cohesive way and helps with conceptual understanding for our children. Teachers can decide on any topic per phase. This means they can focus on current affairs, needs in the community, gaps in knowledge/experience or just those amazing things that children are interesting in!
