Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our highly dedicated team, for a fixed period of maternity cover. Supporting our students in overcoming barriers to learning, this role is key to the inclusive vision and ethos of the Academy, working with individual students or groups of students in class or other areas of the academy.

The role is fixed term for 1 year to cover a period of maternity absence and is based on working 19.5 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday), working over 39 weeks per year (school term time working plus 1 week).

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and someone who can demonstrate commitment, energy, and drive to join our team and work to provide positive learning experiences for all our students.

Ormiston Sudbury Academy is based in the market town of Sudbury, which is in the southwest of Suffolk, near the Essex border.
