We are seeking two Teaching Assistants to work with our fantastic team of teachers and support staff, to support children in our school who have additional needs.

Although all posts will be linked to EHCP funding, we take a real team approach, deploying the right TAs with the right children at the right time, and developing a culture of mutual support and development. We do this through our new in school provision called The Haven.

Many of our children with additional needs have timetabled time in The Haven, and you may be deployed in this provision for some of the time, alongside other TAs, and in classes for 1:1 work or group support for some of the time. TAs in The Haven work together on bespoke elements of children’s provision, managed by our SENDCo and supported by our teachers. You will also be supporting our children at lunchtime, supervising their eating and their playtime.

If you would like to work as part of a proactive team of support staff, and be involved in supporting children in an environment of care and love, this could be the place for you! We are truly committed to making our staff feel valued and supported, especially those who work with our most vulnerable children.

We are a wonderful, small Academy with a fantastic team of staff, really involved parents and superb, motivated children. We are housed in a beautiful building in a lovely area of the city.

The Partnership Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Thank you for your interest in working at our school. We hope that the following information provides you with a useful insight into our school.

Abbot Alphege Academy is a wonderful primary academy in the Lansdown area of Bath. It is 3 years old and is gradually growing to reach its full capacity of 210 pupils. In September 2018, we joined The Partnership Trust, which is a multi-academy trust.

At Abbot Alphege Academy, we truly believe that every child in our care is a special and exceptional person, and is capable of more than we know. Our first and most important priority is to make sure that our children feel safe, valued and happy in our school, and that they trust the adults who teach them and take care of them.

Our staff are highly committed to making sure that each and every child at our school is academically fulfilled and makes the best progress that they can through our curriculum. We endeavour to develop confident and self-assured young people, who are ready for the next stage in their education.

We are a Church of England Academy and we offer our children the opportunity to explore the value of worship and prayer, and to ask those big questions. We are developing great links with our local church, and have a core set of Christian Values that guide everything that we do in our school.

At Abbot Alphege, we see ourselves as a true community school, working hard in partnership with our parents, our governors, our Trust and our wider community to ensure great outcomes for the children in our school.

We hope this information has given you a good indication of the opportunities open to those who would like to join our team and we look forward to receiving your application.
