We are looking for an Teaching Assistant

This role is fixed term until 31 August 2026.

Working Hours per day: 8:30 AM - 4:00PM

Key responsibilities:

  • To provide learning support for pupils in class or in 1:1 situations.
  • To develop knowledge of the particular needs of the children and seek advice from the SENCo, class teacher and outside agencies as required.
  • To aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom and provide modified materials as required e.g. worksheets, games, visual prompt cards etc.
  • To provide regular feedback to the SENCo and, where necessary, relevant outside agencies about any pupil’s difficulties and progress

Pay range:

SCP NJC 2 -4 Based on 35 working hours per week/ 39 working weeks per year

SCP 2 -4 £20,311.26 + £3,327.94 (Inner London) £20,953.55 + £3,327,94 (Inner London)

Full Time Equivalent SCP NJC 2 - 4 Based on 37 working hours per week/ 52 working weeks per year

SCP 2 - 4 £24,413 + £4,000 (Inner London) £25,185.00 + £4,000 (Inner London)

Qualifications and Skills:

    • NVQ2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience (for positions based in EYFS, you will need a level 2 and 3 TA qualification)
    • Math and English GCSE grade 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent or working towards
    • Basic understanding of child development and learning as well as an awareness of pupils with special educational needs
    • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues.
