PERMANENT TEACHING ASSISTANT (INITIALLY WORKING IN KS1)

To start in post as soon as possible, we are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the team at Alverthorpe St Paul’s. Our school is a special place with a distinctive Christian ethos. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working in a school setting;
  • Is committed to ensuring children make excellent academic and social progress;
  • Has a good understanding of how children learn;
  • Can relate to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Is able to communicate well with good interpersonal skills;
  • Is committed to an inclusive ethos where every person matters and is valued
  • Can work well as part of a team;
  • Is supportive of our Christian ethos;
  • Has some experience in the teaching of a Systematic Phonics Programme such as Read, Write, Inc
  • Is warm, kind, caring, positive and has a sense of humour.
