£12.85 LTS and £12.85-£13.05 per hour TA

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their contribution to our whole school community;
  • Has the ability to work confidently, effectively, flexibly and independently
  • Has experience of working with and supporting children of EYFS aged children in a school environment.
  • Is committed to getting the best outcomes for all pupils
  • Has good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
  • Has good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Has the ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
  • Has a personal commitment to on-going professional development.
  • Is willing to listen, take advice and adapt classroom practice
  • Shows initiative and creativity in different situations;
  • Is passionate about children’s safety and well-being;
  • Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school.

Are you passionate about supporting young children’s learning and wellbeing?

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (EYFS Reception) & LunchtimeSupervisor to join our supportive and caring team at Newbottle And Charlton CofE Primary School.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting the EYFS Reception class with adult-led and child-initiated activities
  • Helping children develop early phonics and number skills
  • Observing and assessing progress, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment
  • Supervising children during lunch and play, encouraging positive behaviour
  • Providing first-aid/basic medical response if required, and liaising with teaching staff

There is potential of increasing the Teaching assistant hours in the future
