Teaching assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor job summary

Our 'Bring It!' vision requires us to ensure our pupils are excited by and fully engaged in their learning and school experience more widely. We support them to use their talents to create positive school memories with their friends that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

Our aim is to inspire a lifetime of adventure. As a Church of England Trust, we support its vision for education which is deeply Christian, with Jesus' promise of 'life in all its fullness' at its heart.

St Mellion Church of England Primary School is a smaller than average school.

Our school community is very ambitious and everybody within it works hard together to create an educational experience that enables all our children to achieve their academic potential. The same hard work is also expected of our children too, and their positive learning behaviour ensures that there is progress to celebrate every day, both in class and in whole school assemblies and collective worship.

Our children are at the heart of every decision that we make. For instance, the curriculum, educational trips and residentials have been thoughtfully created to engage, stimulate and challenge every child and foster a love for life-long learning and curiosity of the world. The positive relationships created by all adults with children ensure that every child is nurtured in order to develop within them a confidence and positivity to embrace whatever challenges and adventures come their way.

Underpinning all this is the school’s commitment to ensuring that all our children possess the values, skills and knowledge to prepare them for the next phase of their educational journey as well as enabling them to make a positive contribution to our local community and wider world. Our children bring courage, bring creativity and bring friendship to all that they do.
