What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of The Croft Primary School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our team at this happy and successful school. The post is for 17 hours per week but will also include an additional 5 hours for lunchtime supervision. This post will initially be fixed term until 31 Aug 2026. This is a varied and rewarding role, working as part of a team supporting the class teachers in delivering a high quality curriculum.
The successful candidate will need to have:
- a good understanding of SEND alongside high expectations
- the ability to work collaboratively with staff and be an excellent team player
- a calm flexible approach, and the ability to use initiative
- excellent knowledge and understanding of the needs of KS2 children and how to effectively support and extend their learning and promote their well-being
- the experience to conduct and support learning in 1:1 and small group learning situations and communicate evaluation of learning to the class teacher
- a willingness to encourage and support the children in becoming resilient, compassionate and responsible citizens.
