Teaching Assistant job summary

3 SEND Teaching Assistants - Angel Road Schools

2 x SEND TAs (1x Year R, 1x KS1/2) 8:30 - 3.15 (28.5 hours a week)

- Year R post to include a lunchtime MSA contract 12.00-12.30 (2.5hours a week)

1 x SEND TA (KS2) - Mornings only (16.25 hours a week)

  • Fixed term contracts initially until 31st March 2026
  • Term time plus 1 week for inset days
  • Grade: Scale D £13.26-£13.47 per hour
  • Proposed start date: 3rd November 2025

We are looking to appoint:

Enthusiastic and passionate SEND teaching assistants to support our children. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in our Schools

The successful candidate should:

  • Have experience of working with Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 children or transferable skills.
  • Have a passion for working with children with SEND.
  • Be able to support SEND needs in a variety of different situations and environments.
  • Be able to apply strategies as advised by the team supporting the child.
  • Be able to support positive behaviour.
  • Be able to communicate effectively to all members of the school team and collaborate well with others.
  • Be flexible, calm and consistent.
  • Be keen to promote the best outcomes for children.
  • Be able to form positive and supportive relationships with children, parents and work well as part of a team.
  • Work proactively and use initiative.
