What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a hardworking, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Apprentice who is prepared to work across all Key Stages in our happy, lively, forward looking school. The post will involve class support, working one to one with children who have additional needs and working with parents.

Applicants would be expected to share the Trust’s high aspirations and expectations for pupils and staff and have demonstrable evidence of driving teaching and learning outcomes in the primary phase.

As part of this role, you will benefit from being part of a very committed and dedicated team who support each other, laugh in the staffroom, and strive to do the best for our community! You will be fully supported through your apprenticeship journey by a tutor who will carry out workplace visits every 6-8 weeks. They will support you to build a portfolio of evidence and prepare you for the end point assessments. You will attend monthly training sessions which are a blend of face to face and remote sessions, these will develop your knowledge, skills, and behaviours. Assignments are set at sessions and provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge. In addition to this, you will be supported by a school-based mentor who will meet with you every month and support you with your apprenticeship learning.
