Ashill VC Primary School is looking to appoint a highly committed, enthusiastic and compassionate individual who has an energy and interest in not only working with whole classes of children but also working with small groups of children and/or in a 1:2:1 capacity, intervening to close gaps in children’s subject knowledge and developing their basis skills.

You will need to:

  • have strength, experience and relevant qualifications
  • have experience of working with children;
  • have a good understanding of how to motivate children to engage them in their learning;
  • be determined to identify what helps a child learn, overcoming barriers along the way;
  • have excellent communication skills;
  • be creative and have a willingness to offer new ideas;
  • be a good listener, facilitator for learning, motivator and role model.
