The Role: Teaching Assistant

Your Impact – Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Preparing essential classroom materials and resources.
  • Supervising pupils during break times and school activities as required.

What We're Looking For – Person Specification

  • A caring and patient approach with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to connect with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting (Desirable).
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) (Desirable but not essential).

We are seeking to appoint a teacher for a maternity leave. Start date will be 13/01/25 and end date will be end of the Summer term 2025. However, for the correct candidate this will be extended until 16/12/25.Ideally the candidate would also be willing to be SENCO during this time, but this is not necessary.
