The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with EAL experience to join our Inclusion Faculty. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and colleagues to support pupils’ learning, independence, and wellbeing, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. You will help deliver tailored interventions, promote inclusion in lessons and extracurricular activities, and contribute to creating a safe, stimulating learning environment. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a commitment to our school’s ethos are essential. What We're Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience working with children aged 11-16, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND. Strong English subject knowledge to a minimum of GCSE level, numeracy and IT literacy are also essential.

The ideal candidate will relate well to children and adults, work effectively as part of a team, and communicate well with colleagues. A commitment to the schools values and ethos, understanding of the Teaching Assistant role, and proficiency in using technology to support learning are required. Willingness to learn about various subjects and first aid training is necessary. The candidate should demonstrate tact, diplomacy, self-motivation and flexibility. A commitment to providing accessible support for diverse student needs and continuous self-development is vital.
