We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will need to be patient, hardworking, and have high expectations for both yourself and the pupils in your care. The role involves supporting teachers in day-to-day classroom practice and delivering targeted learning programmes for individuals and small groups. A strong commitment to the wider life of the school is essential, and we warmly encourage you to visit us for a school tour.

Key Responsibilities

Support teachers and pupils in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

Foster the social, emotional, and personal development of pupils, including those with additional needs.

Promote pupils’ active participation in all aspects of school life.

Encourage independence and self-motivation in learners.

Contribute to raising standards of achievement across the school.

About You

You will have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

A proven record of effective behaviour management.

Experience of building positive home-school partnerships to support pupil progress.

An understanding of SEN interventions and strategies to support pupils with additional needs.

The ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with children.

Creativity and enthusiasm to engage and motivate learners.

Sensitivity when working with children who find learning challenging or have previously struggled.

The skills to develop self-esteem, resilience, and independence in pupils.

Experience in delivering and tracking targeted intervention programmes.

A sound understanding of how children learn and develop.

Confidence using IT and educational technology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
