What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and experienced team in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, working within a specialist setting that values both challenge and support.
We welcome applications from candidates with all levels of experience, including those interested in a future career in teaching.
Key Responsibilities are:
- Support pupils' emotional regulation and engagement across the school day.
- Help develop pupils' social and personal skills.
- Support learning in English and Mathematics.
- Contribute to a calm, purposeful and supporting learning environment.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- A desire to work with some of the most complex young people in our community.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- High levels of resilience and a calm, positive approach.
- Sufficient command of spoken English, as defined under the Code of Practice on English language requirements for public sector workers.
