Teaching Assistant job summary
Brookside School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Grade 4 Teaching Assistant into a part-time position from January 2026.
We are seeking candidates that:
• Put the child’s wellbeing at the heart of all they do
• Have initiative and can modify the learning of groups and individuals
• Have high aspirations for the achievement of all children
• Show a positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Show initiative and resilience
The requirements of the role are in line with those of a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant and include:
• Planning & Evaluation: To actively contribute to lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustment of work plans
• Monitoring & Feedback: To independently monitor pupil responses and provides objective feedback and reports
• Curriculum Delivery: To deliver agreed learning programmes and adjustments based on pupil responses
• Cover Duties: To provide PPA cover and short-term absence cover for staff
